Dust can be an issue during construction and demolition work, resulting from activities such as excavation, blasting, crushing of materials and from vehicles depositing dust onto roads after visiting sites.
Dust can also be an issue at quarries, waste facilities, cement storage facilities and other industrial sites.
Please note that, as part of an investigation into any complaint, Environmental Health will ask you to complete specific diary sheets to you. It is necessary for you to keep a record, normally for up to a period of 6 weeks, of what you can smell, see, hear etc. and for how long and at what time of day the nuisance may occur. Once Environmental Health has received your complaint, we will inform you of the next steps that we can take.
