A Local List Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) has been prepared by Burnley Council as part of its planning policy framework. The SPD was adopted on 6 April 2022.
The SPD supplements the policies of Burnley’s Local Plan. It sets out the process and criteria that will be used to review the current Local List and select new entries for inclusion.
It also explains why the Local List has been created and the effects of local listing.
