The Mayor is the First Citizen and highest ranking official in Burnley (unless The Monarch or their deputy is visiting).
The Mayor is provided with transport and can accommodate a range of times and dates outside of their council and civil commitments. It’s therefore an easy and enjoyable experience to welcome the Mayor to your event.
Considerations
- Your application must be submitted at least 10 working days before your event
- What activities you would like the Mayor to perform
- Would you also like the Mayoress / the Mayor’s Consort to attend
- Date and time you require the Mayor
- Parking facilities
- Your event should not be considered controversial, political, at odds with the Council’s commitment to equal opportunities or not in accordance with the dignity of the office
