Graffiti is an illegal, anti-social activity that creates a negative impression of an area. Graffiti can contribute to people’s fear of crime.

The Council will arrange for the removal of graffiti with the highest priority being given to removal of graffiti. This includes graffiti which is racist, sexist, homophobic or offensive in some way.

The Council aims to remove hate graffiti within 24 hours. It also aims to remove other forms of graffiti within 5 to 10 working days of the report.
