How much is the council’s revenue budget?
The revenue budget for 2025/26 has been approved by Budget Council on the 4th March 2025 at a figure of £18.721 million compared with a figure of £18.987 million for 2024/25.
In achieving a balanced budget for 2025/26, the Council identified ongoing revenue budget savings of £0.328m. Approximately 44% of the net budget requirement is paid for by Council Tax payers.
The Council Tax was set for the year at £2,447.50 for a band D property. This represented a 4.6% increase from 2024/25.
The Burnley Council element of this was £344.58 (approximately 14.1%) and was a 2.0% increase from 2024/25.
