Business Support Grant Schemes
Burnley Council are keen to support local businesses to set up and and thrive in Burnley and Padiham. We have a limited amount of funding available in the form of small grants, to help town centre businesses with rental support in the early stages and improvements to shop fronts, signage and security. Fhunded Angels
A pioneering angel investment initiative, fhunded Angels, has been officially launched by Lancashire County Council (LCC). The initiative will bring Lancashire start-ups to the attention of private or ‘angel’ investors who are looking for exciting investment opportunities. fhunded Angels is essentially an angel investor network which provides seed capital for Lancashire-based start-ups, helping to boost Lancashire’s tech economy and wider innovation ecosystem. British Business Bank
The British Business Bank offer Start Up loans of up to £25,000 in partnership with the Start Up Loans Company. A Start Up Loan isn’t a business loan, but an unsecured personal loan. Alongside the funding, you’ll get free support and guidance to help write your business plan, and up to 12 months of free mentoring if your application is successful. Eligibility criteria apply.
Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund
The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund provides commercially focussed finance through Microfinance, Debt and Equity Finance funds. NPIF is a collaboration between the British Business Bank and ten Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) including the Lancashire LEP.
NPIF provides over £500m of investment to boost small and medium business growth in the North of England.
Rosebud
Rosebud enables Lancashire’s most ambitious businesses to grow. Rosebud offers a range of financial and growth support services, including tailor-made finance packages for companies across Lancashire who are looking to grow and scale. Eligible businesses can borrow from £25k with interest rates up to 14%, for up to five years. More information and T&Cs are available at www.rosebudfinance.co.uk.
