Conservation Area Appraisals describe the special architectural and historic interest of a Conservation Area so that whatever involvement you have, whether as resident, developer or decision-maker, the information is available to help manage proposed changes in a way that will not harm the special qualities of the area.
Conservation Area Management Plans set out a framework of policies or guidelines that will assist with the making of decisions about how to look after them.
The Council has prepared a number of detailed appraisals of its conservation areas and further appraisals are being prepared.
