How much is the council’s revenue budget?
The revenue budget for 2023/24 has been approved by Budget Council on the 23 February 2023 at a figure of £16.267 million compared with a figure of £15.322 million for 2022/23.
In achieving a balanced budget for 2023/24, the Council identified ongoing revenue budget savings of £0.561m.
Approximately 47% of the net budget requirement is paid for by Council Tax payers.
The Council Tax was set for the year at £2,236.44 for a band D property. This represented a 4.2% increase from 2022/23.
The Burnley Council element of this was £328.01 (approximately 14.7%) and was a 2.99% increase from 2022/23.
