It is an offence to drive a Hackney Carriage or Private Hire vehicle without the appropriate licence. Before granting a licence the individual must satisfy the Licensing Authority that they are a fit and proper person to hold such a licence. The assessment of fitness and propriety on application is based on the information provided in the application process. Driver behaviour, any change in circumstances or information coming to light after a licence is granted may result in a formal review of the licence which could lead to suspension or revocation.

Once we have a verified your application, we will contact you to let you know that your badge is ready for collection. If we require any information to supplement you application, we will email you.
