Release date:
Friday, 29 September, 2017

Early bird tickets to Burnley's biggest Bonfire Night celebration go on sale this week.

Tickets for the Towneley Bonfire and Firework Display go on sale on Tuesday, 3rd October, at a discount to the full price tickets available after 21st October.

The event is the town's biggest and best-attended Bonfire Night event, featuring a programme of live entertainment and music, a special children’s firework display, and a funfair.

This year’s celebrations take place on Saturday, 4th November.

The fun fair will open at 6pm, followed by the lighting of the bonfire at 6.45pm and children's firework display at 7.15pm.  Finally, the stunning main firework show starts at 8.15pm.

Tickets cost the same as last year - £2 for a single early bird and £6 for 4 tickets. After 21st October the tickets are £3 for single standard tickets and £9 for 4 tickets.

Parking passes (£5 per vehicle) can also be purchased during the same period.

Tickets will be available from St Peter's and Padiham leisure centres, the Mechanics Theatre, Prairie Sports Village and Towneley Hall (cash only). Further information is available at www.burnley.gov.uk/bonfire

Councillor John Harbour, Burnley Council's executive member for housing and environment, said: “This is a great chance to get tickets for this year’s Towneley Bonfire and Firework Display for less than regular ticket prices.

“Every year this event proves to be the biggest and most popular Bonfire celebration in Burnley.

“The firework display is always a spectacular sight,  and I’d encourage people to go along and enjoy one of the town's finest events safely.”
