Don’t miss out on garden waste “early bird” discount

Residents are being urged not to miss out on an “early bird” discount when it comes to signing up for Burnley Council’s chargeable garden waste collection service.

The deadline for benefitting from the discount runs out on Thursday 16th March.

Historic object selected for county competition

An artefact to represent Burnley in a county-wide competition has been decided after a public vote.

A Pilkington pot, currently on show at Towneley Hall, has been picked by the people of Burnley as an item to represent the area in the ‘History of Lancashire in 70 Objects’ project.
